Kanuma - By the Quart
Kanuma bonsai "soil" comes from the Kanuma region of Japan. It is very porous and free draining while slightly acidic. Kanuma is preferred for acid-loving plants such as Azalea, Gardenias and Camellias.
All of our mediums are of the highest quality and come in a variety of textures, sizes, chips, and pieces. Bonsai require free draining water retentive mixes. Sifting various material available here by you to the appropriate size and make-up that is right for your particular application is assumed. Considerations in arriving at the "best" mix for your bonsai should include aeration, drainage, water retention, and proper PH.
