Fine Vermiculite

Vermiculite is a mineral that expands when heated. It contains air pockets and increases aeration and moisture retention in mixes. Coarse Vermiculite is also available.

All of our mediums are of the highest quality and come in a variety of textures, sizes, chips, and pieces. Bonsai require free draining water retentive mixes. Sifting various material available here by you to the appropriate size and make-up that is right for your particular application is assumed. Considerations in arriving at the "best" mix for your bonsai should include aeration, drainage, water retention, and proper PH.
